Seth Meyers and Paul Rudd Seemingly Spoiled 'Avengers: Endgame' Title Last Year
By Hannah Wigandt

Nowadays, when a highly-anticipated movie is announced in a huge franchise *cough, Marvel, cough,* not even the title can be revealed until the moment is just right. Fans analyze every movement, previous movies, interviews with stars, and basically anything that could possibly reveal even the slightest crumb of what to expect while they wait. But what some fans didn’t realize about Avengers: Endgame was that the title might’ve been spoiled months before it was announced.
Paul Rudd and Seth Meyers seemingly leaked the title of Endgame last year during Rudd’s interview with on Late Night. Rudd was being interviewed for his upcoming movie Ant Man and the Wasp, and as an attempt to not spoil the connection between Ant Man and Avengers 4, Meyers explicitly mentioned the title.
"I don't know how that could mess up, though, because I feel like that would make more people see the movie, which is the endgame,” Meyers stated after Rudd got nervous he might’ve said too much. He then smiled at Rudd, to which he replied, "You know what? You're right."
Coincidence? We think not, according to an interview from Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige which indicated the title for Endgame was likely already set by the time that Rudd did the interview in June 2018.
We’ll never know for sure if Meyers and Rudd were actually dropping a spoiler, but either way, at least we know the title now. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
