If it's one thing that the ending of Avengers: Endgame alluded to, it's a possible journey ahead between Winter Soldier and Falcon. The future looks good for the superhero duo as their own live-action series is set to release on Disney+, but now there are talks of a possible team-up outside of Marvel as well, from one of the actors himself.

Sebastian Stan thinks that he and Anthony Mackie would be perfect in a remake of the classic 1982 movie 48 Hours. As Screen Rant writes, the comedy pioneered the buddy-cop movie genre and shot Eddie Murphy into the spotlight.

According to ComicBook.com, Stan suggested the casting decision while speaking at MCM London, but didn't go into detail on whether he would want to keep the same dynamic or have the roles flipped, with him in Murphy's role and Mackie in Nick Nolte's.

"Look, I’m gonna keep saying it, they’re remaking 48 Hours and I think Anthony Mackie and I should have a chance at that," he said. "I’m on it. Those Safdie brothers are not returning any of my emails, so I’ll just have to track them down as best I can."

It was announced back in 2017 that 48 Hours would be getting a remake, helmed by Good Time directors Benny and Josh Safdie. Since then, there hasn't been much talk about any castings.

Filming for Stan and Mackie's Marvel spinoff series is set to begin in October, as confirmed by the Bucky Barnes actor himself, and is reported to drop in 2020. The show, currently titled Falcon & The Winter Soldier, will no doubt see the pair get up to some new shenanigans--just like the real-life actors could do in a 48 Hours remake.
