Santa couldn’t have brought a better gift for Deadpool fans this year. Since Disney's purchase of Fox, the studio that made the first two films of the franchise, many have been concerned if the third film would still be made, or if its expected R-rating would be changed. But thanks to a little holiday magic (and the fact the films are such money makers) we will be getting the third installment.

ComicBook.com reports that Ryan Reynolds stopped by Live With Kelly and Ryan on Christmas Eve and, wearing his favorite festive sweater, delivered some good news. In the video below, the father-of-three states (at about the 9:00 minute mark) of the upcoming Deadpool 3, "Yeah we're working on it right now with the whole team. We're over at Marvel [Studios] now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It's kinda crazy. So yeah, we're working on it."

As the publication points out, it makes sense that the infamously wholesome Disney would agree to the more adult film following the success of Todd Phillips’ Joker. The R-rated blockbuster hit over $1 billion, proving there is an ample market for these kinds of films. Prior to Joker’s release, Deadpool and Deadpool 2 were the highest-grossing R-rated movies in box office history.

It looks like a lot of things will be changing over at Disney in the new decade, and thankfully the third installment of Deadpool is one of them.
