According to CBR, talk is brewing that Phoenix is wanted as the next Captain Hook in a new live-action adaptation of Peter Pan and Wendy. They site The Illuminerdi, who also reports that Margot Robbie is being offered the part of Wendy. The Oscar nominee stars in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), out in theaters tomorrow.
For fans who love remakes, Peter Pan and Wendy is one of many exciting projects coming up in the Disney world. Mulan, directed by Niki Caro, is due to open in theaters on March 27, 2020, and The Little Mermaid is set to come out in 2021.
