'Riverdale's Lili Reinhart Reveals She's Started Therapy in Heartfelt Posts

As a major star on Riverdale and the girlfriend of heartthrob Cole Sprouse, it may seem like Lili Reinhart has this whole life thing figured out. However, she wants the world to know that she also goes through emotional hardships and is on a journey of self-love.

The Betty Cooper actress recently revealed on her Instagram Story that she's started therapy again. She encouraged fans to never be afraid of asking for help.

"Friendly reminder for anyone who needs to hear it: Therapy is never something to feel ashamed of," she began her posts. "Everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist. Doesn't matter how old or 'proud' you're trying to be."

"We are all human. And we all struggle," she continued. "Don't suffer in silence. Don't feel embarrassed to ask for help. I have anxiety and depression. And today I started therapy again. And so the journey of self-love begins for me."

Fans have flooded social media with their best wishes for Lili, and some are sharing their similar mental health experiences with her, too.

This isn't the first time Reinhart has opened up about mental health and therapy. In an interview last month with V Magazine, she described her battles with depression after first moving to L.A. and not finding any acting roles.

"I saw a therapist for six months and had to build myself back up again," Reinhart said. "Then I moved back out and booked Riverdale, which is wonderful. But like I said, it definitely didn’t happen overnight, and it was hard. I still see a therapist in Canada now."

"I’ve seen a therapist at different points in my life for different reasons," she continued. "I’m not very good at stress management, and I have a very high-stress job, so it’s definitely convenient for me to see a therapist right now at this point in my life. I am on medication... just to help my anxiety, so I’m not depressed all the time."

Reinhart deserves major props for opening up about her struggles with anxiety and depression because, as she explained, so many people end up suffering in silence.
