'Riverdale's Camila Mendes Clarifies Charles Melton's 'Cami' Tattoo is Fake
By Olivia Montine

Riverdale fans everywhere were reeling when the one of the show's real life couples appeared to make things a little more permanent over last week--but as it turns out, the ink in question wasn't quite as monumental of a relationship milestone as everyone first perceived.
A certain Instagram post shared last week had fans convinced the stars had taken it to the next level, with 28-year-old Charles Melton appearing to have gotten inked in honor of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Camila Mendes.
Mendes took to twitter to let everyone know the ink was indeed not real, however, citing that she thought the temporary tat was obvious.
the tat is fake lol thought it was obvious from the sticky patch around it but guess not ??♀️ https://t.co/s9EOEx6MXY

Mendes, who plays Veronica Loge on the show, and co-star Melton who plays Reggie Mantle have been an item for months now. Their characters in the show just recently caught up, with the two sharing their first onscreen kiss in January.
In case you missed it, the original pic in question was a snap Mendes posted on Instagram. Even when it was first posted, many fans speculated that it was not real, given that the couple had just attended a premiere party for Melton's newest movie, Bad Boys for Life, and given the movie's title it would make sense if fake tattoos were available for guests.
This one is cute?
