Luke Perry, who passed away yesterday after suffering a stroke, was known for many iconic television shows and movies, but his current role was playing Archie Andrews' father, Fred Andrews, on the hit CW show Riverdale.

Since Perry's death, his Riverdale co-stars have been paying tribute to him in a series of social media posts.

Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper, shared her disbelief on Twitter.

Warner Bros and the CW have posted comments on the actor's passing as well. Their statement read:

"We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry. A beloved member of the ‘Riverdale,’ Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time."

The official Twitter for the Riverdale Writers Room also paid tribute.

Perry's on-screen wife, Molly Ringwald, commented on Twitter.

Co-stars Ross Butler and Madchen Amick both posted to Instagram, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner of Riverdale, shared a touching message to Twitter.

Perry's co-stars and friends from other projects are also paying tribute. Shannen Doherty, his co-star on Beverly Hills, 90210, has posted an emotional message, as well as his Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Kristy Swanson.

Luke Perry will surely be missed.
