Rihanna told us years back in her track "Consideration" that she does things her own way, darling. And evidently that includes when she shows up to the pop-up boutique celebrating of her new luxury fashion line, Fenty.

The singer/designer made a fashionable entrance into The Webster in New York City around 9 p.m., which, according to Page Six, was three hours after the cocktail party had begun, and just as it was drawing to a close.

No matter how late she was, however, Rihanna shined bright like a diamond in a strappy, hot pink mini-dress with ruching up the side and an open back, paired with matching rhinestone-accented heels.

Rihanna looked absolutely gorgeous last night at a Fenty pop-up event in New York City. ? How do we feel about this look?

Yahoo! Lifestyle reports that the 31-year-old singer, actor, and business woman made history this spring by being the first woman to create a brand for LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the first woman of color to sit atop an LVMH maison, and being the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987.

The (very patient) press asked Rihanna where she gets inspiration for her designs, such as the graphic-heavy and political T-shirts, body-hugging dresses, strappy sandals, and belly chains. Rihanna replied:

“I get bored easily. I’m the muse of my collection. [Fans] want to get excited, they don’t want to know when things are coming out. They don’t want to wait for it to come. They see it, they love it, they want it. You don’t want to tease people. When I’m ready for them to find out about the collection, that’s when they know about it. And when it’s done, it’s done.”

The collection is designed in France, and made in Italy, France, and Portugal. Fenty is already available online in the U.S. and Europe.
