Richard Madden Doesn't Think Anyone Will Make it Out Alive in 'Game of Thrones'

When you’re an actor on a show, chances are you know all the behind-the-scenes secrets and may even know how the series ends. But when you’re on Game of Thrones, the secrecy is way more intense, and even the biggest stars of the show don’t know everything. So when you’re an actor on GoT whose character was also killed off seasons ago, it’s safe to say “you know nothing, Jon Snow.”

This is the case for Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark from seasons one to three before his untimely death at the Red Wedding. But although we’re sure the 32-year-old actor is basically as clueless as us on the ending of the series, his prediction is pretty bold.

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Madden claimed he doesn’t think any of his former co-stars will make it out of the final season alive. "I kind of think it’s just going to be three dragons flying around and everyone else is dead," he shared. "It’s a possibility!" It’s definitely a possibility.

Madden also shared his experience now watching Game of Thrones as a fan, not a star. "I can’t wait for the new season," he stated. "I kind of don’t recognize that I was in it anymore because I’ve been watching so many years of it, and they talk about Robb Stark and I know who he is but I don’t see myself in that role. I’m just a viewer now, which is so good. That was one of the bad things about being in the show is you got the scripts so you knew what was going to happen next, and I’ve not had that for years, so now I can just truly enjoy it as a viewer, which is thrilling.”

As fun as it is just being a diehard fan of GoT, we can only imagine how epic it would be to act as one of its stars. The final season airs in April 2019- fingers crossed Madden’s prediction isn’t correct.
