REPORT: 'Game of Thrones' Fans Will Be 'Surprised' by the Intimacy in the Final Season

Current and former Game of Thrones stars have been very vocal about the devastation and downright heartbreaking ending to the acclaimed show. Although we don't know exactly what'll happen, we know we'll apparently need therapy over it.

The highly-anticipated eighth season of the HBO show will feature the aforementioned saddening scenes and its usual bloody combats. But, the new season will not be all horror and sadness.

Entertainment Weekly journalist James Hibberd was recently given special access to the show's set, and he revealed there are plenty of intimate scenes this upcoming season.

"There's been so much focus on the spectacularness of the battles, but they're not skimping on the one-on-one scenes and the character scenes," Hibberd said on EW's Game of Thrones podcast.

"I think people are going to be surprised about how intimate the final season is, in addition to the spectacular stuff that you're expecting," he continued.

Fans can barely contain themselves over these new developments.

Knowing that the season will have those types of soft and sweet moments sort of lightens the mood, as most fans were likely expecting hours of consecutive crying as soon as the show premieres next April.
