Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham was surprisingly spotted at the 2019 Emmy Awards last night, leaving fans of the MTV series seriously confused. After the mom-of-one strutted her stuff on the red carpet, she was then seated just one spot away from Golden Globe winner Hugh Grant, according to US Weekly, making viewers scratch their heads even more.

Many took to social media to question what Abraham was doing there, and in such a good spot, considering Grant was nominated for his role as Jeremy Thorpe in A Very English Scandal at this year's awards show. As you can see in the screenshot below, the reality TV star was sitting in beside Grant's wife, Anna Eberstein.

While reality stars are occasionally invited to the Emmys—even Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner presented an award during last night's show—it's perplexing as to why someone who was fired from Teen Mom would be invited. Abraham has caused her fair share of controversy over the years, and it doesn't look like she's planning on slowing down anytime soon.

And apart from the initial shock of seeing Farrah at the show, people instantly trolled her when she posted to Instagram about the night, referring to Academy Award winner Viola Davis and Game of Thrones star Kit Harington as her "peers." Writing in her caption, she said, "First #Emmys so excited for my bio pic [sic] feature film and many more lead & supporting roles with amazing peers."

One person commented on the post above, "Your peers !!????? The delusional Emmy goes to Farrah," and another added, "Those aren’t your peers. You know that right? I really need you to know that."

Yikes.
