Patty Jenkins Knows How She Wants to End 'Wonder Woman' Series

Wonder Woman's success understandably led to Warner Bros. calling for a sequel, with Wonder Woman 1984 serving as the second film. The sequel is still a year away, but that doesn't mean the film's crew isn't looking towards the future with a possible Wonder Woman 3.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, director Patty Jenkins was asked about her dream projects she wants to work on in the future, and she made it clear she has her eyes set on a Wonder Woman trilogy.

“I have pretty clear plans for Wonder Woman 3,” Jenkins said. “Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that.”

Fans would love to see Jenkins tackle the project.

The excitement is understandable, as the work of Jenkins' directing and Gal Gadot's acting led to Wonder Woman becoming a massive hit for the DCEU. On the other hand, there's a bittersweet feel to this news because it would be great to see Wonder Woman's story told in more than just three films.

Jenkins' comments come just about a week after it was rumored Warner Bros. is also discussing a Harley Quinn trilogy, with next year's Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) being the first in the series.
