Ozzy Osbourne Clarifies He's Postponing His Tour, Not Cancelling, Amid Battle With Parkinson's Disease

Rock and roll legend Ozzy Osbourne shocked fans last month when revealing he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, telling Good Morning America that he even had to have neck surgery after suffering a bad fall.
"It's been terribly challenging for us all," he shared. "I did my last show New Year's Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves." Of course, fans were worried for the musician and his family, though he seemed in good spirits.
It then came out this week, via a press release from Osbourne's website, that he would be cancelling his North America tour. "I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans," he said. "I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time."
However, Osbourne is now clarifying that his tour is simply being postponed, not totally cancelled. While speaking with Radio.com, the iconic singer explained, "If I go out now and I can’t carry on, people are gonna think I’ve lost the plot, ya know. So I’m not gonna go out there until I can give them the show that I want to give them, because it’s not fair to them."
In the meantime, Osbourne does have a new album coming soon that fans can enjoy while he's working on getting better. Ordinary Man is debuting Feb. 21, 2020.
