Night King Actor Says His Favorite 'Game of Thrones' Moment is Still to Come

It must be a hard life as the Night King. Always cold and unfeeling. Harping on a thousand-year-old conflict and wanting nothing more than revenge. But what or who does he want to get revenge on? Only the Night King himself knows, and in a rare interview we just got a insight into the mind of the Game of Thrones villain.

Entertainment Weekly interviewed the Night King himself, actor and stuntman Vladimir Furdik. Furdik has played the character since Season 6, along with other various other White Walkers throughout the show. In Season 5 he was the White Walker that fought Jon Snow, and after that one scene, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss cast him as the big villain.

When asked what the Night King wants, Furdik explained:

"Somebody made him the Night King. Nobody knows who he was before — a soldier or part of [nobility]. He never wanted to be the Night King. I think he wants revenge. Everybody in this story has two sides — a bad side and a good side. The Night King only has one side, a bad side."

This isn't surprising, because all the king has done from day one was seemingly seek and destroy everything in his path. Furdik also touched on what fans can expect to see this upcoming season.

"People will see he has a target he wants to kill, and you will find out who that is," he explained. "There’s also that moment [in “Hardhome”] when Jon Snow was on the boat and the Night King looked at him and raised his arms — there’s a similar and even stronger moment between Jon and the Night King this time."

And Furdik's favorite scene as the Night King? "That’s still coming," he claimed.

Game of Thrones returns on April 14.
