Nicki Minaj's 'Bust Down Barbiana' Lyric About Ariana Grande Has Fans Confused

Nicki Minaj is coming back with new music, and her fans are expectedly ecstatic. Her most recent remix, "Bust Down Barbiana," references the Met Gala, being an immigrant from Trinidad, and even name-drops her good friend Ariana Grande. But while the lyric is seemingly a fun way at including the pop singer, some fans are actually convinced it might be shade.

The lyric in question goes: "Uh, ayo, I been a bad b***h, cockiana (Cockiana)/And I'm still winnin', Pacquiana (Pacquiana)/Percocets, popiana, killin' everybody beat/ Thank you next, Ariana (Ariana)."

After hearing the song, many took to Twitter to discuss whether or not the name-drop was shade, or simply proof the artists are still BBFs.

But quickly, Ariana and Nicki debunked any of the rumors before they got too far. When a fan tweeted at the pair asking if the song was shade, the "7 Rings" singer clarified, "there will never be anything but love between us ever." The rapper then quote-tweeted the heartfelt message and added her own bit of love back to Ari.

Okay, so now that we know "Bust Down Barbiana" is only positive towards Ari, can we get another collaboration between the two? Nicki seemingly confirmed her fifth album is done in "Barbie Goin Bad," so it's not impossible we might be getting a new track from the ladies soon.
