Nicki Minaj Jokes She's Pregnant With Boyfriend Kenneth Petty

Nicki Minaj is not new to being open with her fans, and took things a step further with a bold comment on her radio show on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The 36-year-old rapper has received lots of backlash over her relationship with registered sex offender Kenneth Petty. Petty reportedly spent seven years in prison after being convicted of manslaughter in 2002.

On her own radio show Queen Radio, Minaj opened up about her relationship with Petty. She said, "If I’m being honest, spiritually, I’m at the best place I’ve been in a long time." She then went on to tell what a positive influence Petty has been in her life since they met as teenagers, before saying, "I'm pregnant."

Minaj paused for a few moments after the statement before bursting out into laughter, adding, "They really gon believe me...my manager's face! He was about to die!"

The statement caused lots of speculation among her fans. Some did not understand whether the star was actually pregnant and tried to cover it up with the joke, or if she was making the entire thing up.

Some fans also cited other pregnancy rumors the star has had, wondering if it could be the real thing this time.

Minaj had 28-year-old rapper Soulja Boy as her guest star on the episode in question, and they discussed everything from spirituality to her sexual life. Fans are loving the intimate look into the rap sensation's personal life.
