New 'Avengers: Endgame' Cast Listing Might Prove Time Travel Will Be Involved

Details from Marvel Studios about Avengers: Endgame have been scant, so much so that even the official teasers for the film may not show any scenes past the first 20 minutes of the movie.

Due to the lack of information given, fans have been on their own in discovering any plot details and coming up with theories for Endgame. One of the most popular theories has involved time traveling, with the Avengers going back in time to change events that directly impact the Infinity Stones.

A pair of cast listings have added fuel to the theory’s fire. The movie’s cast listing on IMDb confirms there will be scenes from the 1970s, with actors slated to play the roles of “'70s Car Girl #1” and “'70s Scientist/ Lab Worker.”

The '70s scenes may either be flashbacks, or more likely the Avengers traveling back in time to search for ways to defeat Thanos after The Decimation wiped out half the planet in Avengers: Infinity War, possibly with the help of Captain Marvel.

Regardless, any '70s scenes will likely feature Tony and the Stark family, as Tony was born during the early '70s and his father Howard Stark worked on arc reactor technology during the decade. Not only that, but actor John Slattery, who played Howard in previous Marvel films, was reportedly seen on set during shoots.

Endgame is set to have an April 26 theatrical release.
