Multiple Marvel Directors Spotted on Set for 'Star Wars' TV Series 'The Mandalorian'
By Jennifer Fabiano

Though Disney’s The Mandalorian is set in the Star Wars universe, Marvel Cinematic Universe talent recently took over the set.
On Tuesday, The Mandalorian writer and producer Jon Favreau posted a picture on Instagram that showcased the Marvel reunion. The group in the photo is responsible for a total of nine films in the MCU, including Avengers 4, which is set to be released May 3, 2019.
Favreau is seen with Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed some of Marvel’s biggest films including Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers 4.
In addition to the Russo Brothers, director Peyton Reed is shown in the picture as well. Reed brought Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp into the Marvel Universe. Director Taika Waititi, who is responsible for Thor: Ragnarok, also joined the group.
The Mandalorian is an upcoming series that will debut on the Disney+ streaming service, which is scheduled to launch next year.
Out of the four Marvel men, only Waititi actually has connection to the new series, as he will be directing an episode of The Mandalorian. As far as we know, none of the other Marvel moguls are involved in the production of the series...yet.
There are several Marvel series planned for Disney+, so it’s possible the Russo brothers will follow in Favreau’s footsteps and take jobs creating one of these series.
