Mindy Kaling Says Kelly Would've Killed Ryan if 'The Office' Continued

It’s not uncommon for the average Netflix user in between shows to scroll through the streaming service for an hour or more looking for something new, only to put on The Office for the millionth time. And no matter who your favorite character is, you’ve got to admit many of them are hate-to-love people. This definitely goes for Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard. While both of them are incredibly obnoxious, they’re ultimately hilarious. So it isn’t surprising that both Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak, the actors who portrayed the annoying couple, are still asked about the show to this day.

While speaking to Variety, Kaling recently spoke of the rumored reboot of The Office, admitting she doesn’t really know how involved Ryan and Kelly would be. When asked if she’d be interested in revisiting the series, she played it coy, responding, "I think that anything that [Greg Daniels] decided to do I would watch and love and want to help him with." But she did offer a bit of a funny prediction, stating:

“There's not an insignificant part of me that thinks that Kelly might be in jail. Crime of passion? The character just kept getting a little more and more unhinged. I don't wanna say that she murdered Ryan, but, like, I'm not convinced that he's still alive in the world of The Office.”

That is actually not too hard to believe at all.

The status of a possible Office reboot has been up in the air for months, but at least we know we can always rewatch the beloved series for as long as it's still on Netflix.
