Millie Bobby Brown Cast as Lead in 'The Thing About Jellyfish' Adaptation

Millie Bobby Brown has turned herself into a household name due to her sensational role as Eleven on Stranger Things. But since her role in the Netflix series, Brown has not appeared in any other show or film.

However, that will soon change, as the actress is slated to appear in a few upcoming films. She has a starring role in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which comes out in theaters May 31.

Now we know that the 15-year-old actress will also star in another upcoming movie. Brown will have the lead role in YA adaption The Thing About Jellyfish as character Suzy Swanson.

The Thing About Jellyfish, which will be co-produced by Reese Witherspoon, focuses on seventh-grader Suzy, a teenage girl who believes that her best friend’s death was caused by a jellyfish. In 2015, the novel, written by Ali Benjamin, was nominated for a National Book Award.

Before appearing in The Thing About Jellyfish, Brown will return as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 3, premiering on July 4.
