Miley Cyrus Reveals What She Texted Ariana Grande Following Pete Davidson Split
By Kwadar Ray

It's no secret that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's split in October has been difficult for both parties.
In Davidson's case, he's been attacked relentlessly on social media, so much so that it's taken a toll on his mental health. For Ariana, she cancelled multiple public appearances due to the breakup, which came just about a month after the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller.
However, it turns out a good friend stayed in communication with Grande after the split. Miley Cyrus revealed on The Howard Stern Show that she texts the "Thank U, Next" singer often to check in on her.
"[Ariana and I] text," she told Stern. "If I ever see anything--and I never know if it's true or not because people say crazy s**t about me all the time--I'll text her and say, 'I'm really thinking about you."
And she revealed she texted Ariana post-breakup in a pretty unique way. "I did write her," Miley stated. "I'm a emoji person, so I just sent her a little cat with the heart eyes."
"I literally think I sent the cat with the heart eyes," Cyrus continued. "Slightly maybe even making her feel good, like maybe I was hitting on her a bit."
Cyrus said she hoped Grande received the message as, "Oh hey, someone loves you. If it's not working, here I am."
Ariana, being the good friend that she is, didn't leave the singer on read.
"Then she wrote back clouds [emoji]" Cyrus said. "I think she was saying, 'I'm ok, and I'm here.' Like, 'Thank you for thinking of me.'"
It's great to know that Cyrus and Grande, who simultaneously released singles together last week, are developing a stronger friendship.
