The former Duke and Duchess of Sussex, better known as Meghan Markle and Harry have shared a rare family portrait - and given the world its first glimpse of baby Lilibet Diana - in a special holiday card. The couple wrote on the Christmas photo - which also shows two-year-old Archie Harrison sporting a thick head of red hair.

The new holiday card, which was released on Thursday, was first shared with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led organization with which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously supported, features the long-awaited first photo of the couple's daughter,Lilibet Diana, who was born during the summer on June 4, 2021.

The photo featured on the card was taken by Alexi Lubomirski this summer at the couple's home in Santa Barbara, California

The message on the card reads:

"This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a 'Mama' and a 'Papa', and Lili made us a family. As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave."

Photographer, Alexi, shared the image to his Instagram account and wrote in lengthy post that it has been a "delightful honour," to capture the special moments in the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex's life together.
