Marvel's Kevin Feige Says Deadpool Isn't Changing Under Disney
By Hannah Wigandt

When Disney bought Fox, the fate of X-Men and other Fox-led superhero movies became uncertain. After Dark Phoenix premieres in June, X-Men will likely take a hiatus for a couple years while Disney figures out how to integrate the mutant team into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But according to new reports, the Deadpool franchise looks safe.
Deadpool 1 and 2 were both hits and showed audiences a whole different kind of superhero movie, one that was rated R with a hero that curses and constantly breaks the fourth wall. So it will be interesting to see how Disney keeps that franchise the same.
Marvel CEO, Kevin Feige has dispelled any concerns about Deadpool in an interview with Variety, explaining the intentions of Disney's CEO Bob Iger concerning the superhero.
"When we were purchased, Bob [Iger] said to us, ‘If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.' There’s no question that Deadpool is working, so why would we change it?"
If Disney plans to keep Deadpool the way it is, the biggest problem will be it's inappropriate jokes that aren't exactly family friendly like all of Disney's PG-13 movies. But Deadpool will no doubt lose fans if the future movies become PG.
We can only guess what kinds of jokes Deadpool will have for us about his Disney adoption in future movies.
