The entire fate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe rests in Kevin Feige's hands. The Marvel Studios president has reinvigorated superhero movies in the past ten years and changed the franchise forever. After overseeing everything in the studios and becoming one of the most talked about producers, you'd think maybe he'd want to try the director's chair out for a while, since he's so in tune with the company. But Feige has no interest in directing at all.

With Avengers: Endgame set to premiere in a little over a week, Feige took time to talk to Variety to talk about the movie. With one phase of the MCU ending, another is taking its place and Feige was asked if he would possibly want to direct some of the upcoming movies in Phase 4.

“I have too much fun working at this level and having an impact on multiple movies at a time to work on only one thing,” Feige explained.

Feige instead wants to start introducing new upcoming directors for the Marvel films to come. It's safe to say he knows what he's doing by now, so we can definitely expect more greatness in the nearby future.
