If Sebastian Stan ever crossed over to the DCEU, he'd really like to play Batman villain, the Riddler. Stan is known for playing Bucky Barnes a.k.a. Winter Soldier in the MCU, who was first introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Stan revealed his interest in playing the villain during a Q&A at the Jus In Bello event in Rome. A fan asked if there was a role out there he would love to play if he got the chance, to which he said the DC character.

"I would love to try and play the Riddler. That's an interesting character," Stan responded. "I don't know how you'd play that one actually, that would be very hard to be honest, because you couldn't be like crazy crazy crazy. You would have to be kind of much darker than that, but that's an interesting character."

The most recent person to portray the Riddler was Cory Michael Smith in the TV series Gotham. Jim Carrey also played the character in 1995's Batman Forever, while it was a bit more comical of a portrayal. And years before that, Frank Gorshin served as the villain in the 1960s series Batman.

Stan isn't the only one yearning to play Riddler, as apparently so is James McAvoy. The actor revealed he would also love to play the DC villain in the future. Judging by McAvoy's crazy portrayal in Split, where he played a character with 23 personalities, it wouldn't be surprising to see him take on the psychotic villain.

If the Riddler does make an appearance in the future, it probably won't be played by Stan, as he's busy with the Disney+ limited series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, reportedly set to release in Aug. 2020.
