Mark Ruffalo will potentially be joining his Avengers: Endgame co-stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan on Disney+’s ever-growing Marvel inventory.

Everyone's favorite Hulk (sorry, Ed Norton!) revealed at Chicago's pop culture convention C2E2 over the past weekend that he has been in preliminary talks to reprise his role as Bruce Banner in upcoming series She-Hulk. Den of Geek reports that LaughingPlace.com tweeted out the news while at the event. Ruffalo took over the role of Bruce Banner from Norton starting with The Avengers (2012). Read about why Marvel initially turned him down for the role in The Incredible Hulk (2008) here.

She-Hulk follows Lawyer Jennifer Walters, whose dramatic origin story is revealed in her first appearance in Savage She-Hulk #1. Walters is a skilled lawyer who is gunned down by a crime boss with a vendetta against her. After getting a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk), Walters gains the Hulk’s powers—and all the problems that come with them.

With casting rumors abuzz, talk of GLOW‘s Alison Brie and Brooklyn Nine Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz taking on the role has gone around, but a lead for the titular part has not been chosen. The series is expected to premiere at some point in 2022, although no release date has been confirmed. The first of the Disney+ Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is set to start streaming in August, with WandaVision heading for a December slot.
