Any new tidbit of information about what went on during the filming of the original Star Wars films that surfaces, fans eagerly take. In fact, they beg for it like little kids in a candy shop, especially over social media. So when the cast sprinkles some stories here and there, they instantly goes viral.

The source of the newest info comes from Chewbacca, of all people. Peter Mayhew took to Twitter yesterday to share a rare behind-the-scenes picture of his co-star Mark Hamill putting on a Chewbacca mask. Hamill's response to him then explained why that specific mask never made its onto the big screen.

Apparently, George Lucas hated the mask because it gave an intimidating appearance to the lovable character.

Hamill retweeted the photo and captioned it in part with, "It's because that Chewy mask rarity was a rejected prototype George Lucas gave me because he didn't want the finished product to be snarling. (& yes-I still have it)."

While fans saw Chewbacca as a fierce fighter and co-pilot in the first Star Wars trilogy, we were shown he was capable of much more in the new Solo movie.

Hamill and the rest of the cast love to gift their fans with stories of the good old days, from Hamill's constant tweets, to the late Carrie Fisher's book The Princess Diarist. All we can say is: more please!
