Margot Robbie Wants You to Bid for 'Birds of Prey' Premiere Tickets to Help Time's Up

Any Harley Quinn fan can’t wait to see Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn) when it hits theaters in Feb. 2020, but a few lucky fans won’t have to wait quite that long.

Margot Robbie announced on social media that she is auctioning off two tickets to the premiere and after party of her current DC Comics project. The winner will also be able to visit the set of the movie at some point during its production.

Robbie’s auction is part of a larger benefit for the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, which is working to eliminate sexual harassment in the entertainment industry. Captain Marvel merch signed by Brie Larson and a day with The New Gods director Ava DuVernay are also up for auction to support the cause.

The Australian actress has pushed along the Birds of Prey project after her very successful role as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad.

“I pitched the idea of an R-rated girl gang film including Harley, because I was like, ‘Harley needs friends.’ Harley loves interacting with people, so don’t ever make her do a standalone film," Robbie told Collider. "She’s got to be with other people, it should be a girl gang. I wasn’t seeing enough girl gangs on screen, especially in the action space. So that was always a big part of it."

The bid to beat is currently $3,450, but the live auction could change any time before it closes next week on Thursday, Dec. 20.
