Say hello to your new Captain Sparrow as the rumors surrounding Margot Robbie taking over the iconic role, in Pirates of The Caribbean 6, from Johnny Depp was seemingly confirmed in the ongoing Depp vs Hurd trial.

During the trial proceedings on May 2, Amber Heard's legal team brought up the actress - who is due to star in Barbie as the iconic blonde bombshell doll herself - while they questioned Johnny Depp's agent during his testimony. They seemingly confirmed the rumors that Margot will be taking over as Jack Sparrow, something which, up until now, was just rumored. However, after a quick snoop on IMDb we did find Margot has signed to an "Untitled Pirates of the Caribbean/Margot Robbie Project".

Fans had mixed emotions about the news.

One follower of the trial took to Twitter and wrote, "Margot Robbie replaced Johnny Depp on Pirates of the Caribbean 6.. I love Robbie but I love Johnny as Jack Sparrow more [SIC]." Others were excited by the prospect of where the I, Tonya actress could take the new character.
