Major League Baseball Announces Mysterious Collaboration With 'Stranger Things'

The Upside Down and the baseball dugout are teaming up!

Stranger Things has been a major hit in its two seasons, and nothing can attest to the Netflix series' popularity more than all of the hype leading up to the third season.

Season three will take place in Hawkins during the summer of 1985, and what's summer without some baseball? No, we're not talking about Steve Harrington's baseball bat.

In an unexpected collaboration, Stranger Things and Major League Baseball (MLB) are teaming up for 13 fun nights at select ballparks. Starting on June 8 in in Milwaukee--home of the Brewers--different stadiums will be filled with co-branded gear and merchandise.

The league also promises fans they'll have the ability to "immerse yourself in the Upside Down, the horrifying extra-dimensional area where nothing is as it seems." Check out MLB's cryptic teaser for the collaboration below:

There's not much detail yet about all of the expected entertainment on the 13 scheduled dates, which concludes on Aug 23 St. Louis. So while plenty of fans are down to attend a Stranger Things-themed night of baseball, they have no idea what to expect.

We're scratching our heads, too, but if this crossover means we'll get a chance to see Dustin, played by Gaten Matarazzo, ask Bryce Harper for some hair tips, then we support it wholeheartedly.

Stranger Things' third season is set to premiere on Netflix July 4.
