Fans who have been watching Mackenzie McKee since her 16 and Pregnant debut know that she and her late mom, Angie Douthit, had always been extremely close before her untimely death. So when she tragically lost her years-long battle with cancer in Dec. 2019, followers were there to share love and support for Mack. In this season of Teen Mom OG, the mom-of-three shares some of her final moments with Angie, and last night's episode was particularly emotional as her family prepared to say goodbye.

The 25-year-old Oklahoma native opened up to People this week ahead of the heartbreaking episode, explaining that she's now trying to get closure. "I miss her every day," Mackenzie shared. "I'm doing a lot right now to get closure. The fact that the world gets to see who my mom was and that so many people care, it does help."

Mackenzie also reflected on Angie's final days, explaining, "She left a very powerful impact. She spent her whole life loving hard and loving no matter what. She was always by your side, everything you went through, good or bad. And then, in the end, it was her turn to be surrounded by the people who love her. We were there for her and we didn't leave."

Of course, Mack isn't going to be able to get closure that easily, and every day is still a struggle for her. "I'm going through a dark time and dealing with a lot of depression and anxiety. So I'm going through counseling, fixing myself, one day at a time," she added. "But I have changed so much. I just want to always do the right thing."

The MTV personality clearly has her heart in the right place, and thankfully has a support system of family to help her get through this difficult time. We're sending her all the love in the world as she continues to work on getting better.
