Why Maci Bookout Admits She Doesn't Ask Ryan Edwards' Family About His Sobriety

While Maci Bookout continues to keep her reality life an open book, some topics about Ryan Edwards aren't up for discussion, reports In Touch Weekly.

The Teen Mom OG star revealed that while she cares about her ex's wellbeing forever and always, she's focusing exclusively on her own family these days. In turn, she's not discussing Ryan's sobriety with his family. In a recent interview, the Bulletproof author explained:

"They don’t update me or talk to me about it. At the same time … I don’t ask them about it either. It’s not that I don’t care about his sobriety or don’t want him to be healthy, but … I have my own family, my own life that I have to keep top priority. And it’s a tightrope to walk on."

As the publication notes, Maci had previously expressed concern for Bentley's dad, suspecting that he was getting close to hitting "rock bottom," saying on the series, “In my opinion, he was 100 percent not sober," adding, "He didn’t look good." For the Teen Mom OG star, her own priorities what she's focusing on, and Ryan is not one of them right now.

Hopefully, these two can continue to co-parent, and from a safe, civil distance.
