When fans saw the recent Avengers: Endgame posters (you know, the ones which featured superheroes who survived Thanos' snap in color, and in gray if they passed), they were surprised to see exactly which of our favorite characters died in Infinity War, including Black Panther's sister Shuri. But it turns out we weren't the only ones shocked by the revelation.

During the world premiere of Avengers: Endgame, actress Letitia Wright revealed she was just as surprised to see Shuri grouped in with the fallen characters as fans were. At the end of Infinity War we never actually saw Shuri die, so her fate was unknown. But once her picture ended up in the black and white category on the posters, fans--and Wright herself--got confirmation of the Wakandian's death.

"It was surprising," Wright recalled. "I saw everybody in, like, you know, the colored photos, you know, colored posters. And then I saw myself in gray, and I was, like, 'I just died out of nowhere.'"

Wright also said she had comfort knowing that the "whole of Twitter" was also taking the news poorly, which prompted her to log off. But she was excited to see what was going to happen in Endgame, either way.

If the remaining Avengers bring back the fallen heroes, Wright would like to see Shuri in more Marvel movies in the future. We definitely agree.
