Lamar Odom’s new memoir, Darkness to Light, has hit the public, revealing a torrent of insights and stories from his time as a substance abuser. The book also contains a number of vignettes from his seven-year marriage to Khloé Kardashian, including raunchy episodes of infidelity and more serious ones of domestic struggles. According to Odom, Kardashian contacted him this week to react to the book.

As reported by TooFab, Odom shared in an interview with Jenny McCartney that Kardashian sent him a text shortly after the release of the book. "She good. She talked about one of the stories I told in the book about her coming to the hotel and putting her hands on the girl,” he said. “She said she didn't even think I remembered that story."

The story Odom refers to is a moment from Darkness to Light when he discusses an altercation at the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood. According to Odom, after Kardashian, suspecting infidelity, checked his credit card statements, she tracked him to the hotel along with Kris Jenner and several security guards, discovering him with drugs and two strippers. Kardashian, Odom says, proceeded to launch into a fistfight with one of the strippers before being pulled off by a security guard and quietly clearing out of the hotel.

In the present, Odom expressed that he still loves Kardashian and is glad to be in contact with her. "She's an incredible person and she'll always have a place in my heart and be dear to me," he said. "She's extremely courageous and tough and strong.”

"The next house I buy, hopefully she can decorate it," he quipped. "They're amazing decorators, they're amazing homemakers."

Controversial stories aside, we’re glad that Odom and Kardashian are on relatively good terms. Going through all that they did couldn’t be easy on anybody, so it’s always nice to see when people are able to come back to live a happier life.
