Kylie Jenner made headlines last week after Forbes published an article in which the outlet accused the makeup mogul of lying about her immense wealth and falsifying her tax returns. Kylie was named the youngest self-made billionaire ever in 2019, and the shocking news broke after she was given the title for the second year in a row back in April.

However, Cosmopolitan reports that even though Forbes revoked her billionaire status, they just named the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sibling as the top-earning celebrity on its 2020 Celeb 100 List, a calculated inventory of celebrities’ yearly earnings. According to Forbes, Kylie earned $590 million, largely because of her decision to sell a 51% stake of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty in January. The mom-of-one seemed largely unbothered by the news on Twitter, although The Sun reported that Ky and her mom are "freaking out" about the exposé behind closed doors.

Besides reporting that the Jenner's “likely forged” tax returns, Forbes alleged that Kylie Cosmetics “is significantly smaller and less profitable than the family has spent years leading the cosmetics industry and media outlets to believe.” At the end of the day, even if Kylie is no longer the world's youngest self-made billionaire, she definitely has more than enough money. We're super interested to see how this story develops and if there are any longterm consequences from Forbes' article.
