While just about every fan has given their opinion on the final season of Game of Thrones, it's nice to hear from someone who was actually deeply involved in the show. Kit Harington just shared his thoughts with The Hollywood Reporter on the show that consumed a decade of his life.

Harington was especially vocal about the finale Thrones, where his character, Jon Snow, stabs Daenerys Targaryen after she claims the Iron Throne. The actor said that the scene took three weeks to shoot. As reported by E! News, he recalled:

"We felt a sense of responsibility over it. We shot the hell out of it. It was essentially a page and a half of dialogue, and we spent three weeks filming it. They wanted to shoot every conceivable angle, every way, to make sure they got it the way they wanted it."

Harington went on about the emotional toll it took to stay focused on one scene for such a long time. "It becomes a long exercise in concentration. You have to remember the energy you're bringing in, every day, and making sure it's consistent," he shared. "With a highly emotionally charged scene like that, it's quite a lot, for everyone—the crew, me, and Emilia. It was tiring. It's one of the hardest things we filmed."

And when Harington first learned Jon would kill Dany, he admitted he was "completely surprised."

In terms of the other epic stabbing of the final season--the one which destroyed the Night King--Harington admitted to feeling jealous that he didn't get to do it. "I was a bit pissed off, only because I wanted to kill the Night King! I think I felt like everyone else did, in that it had been set up for a long time, and then I didn't get to do it. But I was so happy for Maisie [Williams] and Arya," he explained.

While we all have our own personal opinions on the way Game of Thrones ended, it's still interesting to hear what the cast thought going into the final season.
