Kim Kardashian Talks Returning to Paris After 2016 Robbery on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'

Last week, we found out that a portion of the Dec. 2 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians would focus on Kim Kardashian’s first trip back to Paris after the 2016 incident in which she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room.

Kardashian hadn’t returned to Paris for almost two years.

On Sunday’s episode, Kim explains that she wanted to return to Paris to attend the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2019 menswear show in June with husband Kanye West. Kanye planned to attend the fashion show because the Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director Virgil Abloh is a longtime friend from Chicago.

Kanye asked Kim to attend with him, but understood if the trip was too much for her.

“I don’t want to put any pressure on you to go to Paris,” Kanye told Kim. “I know that was really hard the last time you were in Paris. So I think just for the culture, for Kim K. to show up to the first black designer at [a] Louis Vuitton show who was the best man at my wedding, just the world would just love to see you there.”

Kim discusses her fears in the Season 15 episode.

“I definitely want to be there to support Kanye and Virgil but the last time I was there obviously [was] like a horrific experience for me,” Kim says. “You know, I’m going really cautiously, and I think going for such a short period of time def helps me mentally. But I guess you never know what could happen.”

Kim also discusses why she wanted to break the streak of keeping her distance from the romantic French city.

Momager Kris Jenner then encourages Kim to step out of her comfort zone.

“You’re a really good friend to go back to a place where you’re not the most comfortable,” she tells Kim in the episode. “But it’s a good putting your toe in the water.”

Kim ended up going to Paris and seemingly had a great time.
