Kim Kardashian Explains Decision to Use 'Surrogate Therapist'
By Rachel Reed

It's no secret that Kim Kardashian West always wanted a big family.
But the road to getting what she wanted hasn't always been easy. After enduring two high-risk pregnancies, Kim decided to expand her family through surrogacy. When it was time for baby number three, Chicago, the businesswoman decided it was also time to bring someone else into the mix, reports E! News.
In an exclusive interview with Laura Wasser, Kim explained why she chose to lean on what she described as a "surrogate therapist." Apparently, she wanted someone to help build a relationship with the woman who was carrying her child.
"You get your surrogate attorney, you get your surrogate broker and then the broker recommended that we use a therapist that would communicate with me first and then communicate with her and kind of be our liaison," Kim shared.
"Things like going through the birthing plan, so if anything was uncomfortable she would be that buffer to say, ‘This is who I want in the room. What are you comfortable with? How does this work?'"
In the end, having a surrogate therapist paid off. Kim and the gestational carrier developed a close relationship. The reality star even referred to her surrogacy journey as the best experience she's ever had, going on to use another surrogate for her and Kanye West's fourth child as well, Psalm.
