Khloé Kardashian Accused of Cultural Appropriation With Diana Ross Tribute

Khloeé Kardashian cannot catch a break. Everything she does lately she gets backlash from people online. The situation this time comes after Kardashian showed up to Diana Ross' 75th birthday party last night sporting a big blonde afro that now has fans calling her out for cultural appropriation.

Was Kardashian just paying homage to the singing legend or was she unknowingly offending people? The debate quickly started online, but mostly fans were mad at the decision to wear the wig.

One person on Instagram said, “I think the difference is that big curly hair is celebrated when it’s on white women ONLY… even though black women are naturally blessed with that.” Another wrote, "I’m so glad black culture inspires so many people. It’s just sad that everybody wants to be ‘black’ until it’s actually time to deal with black issues."

However, other fans had no problem with Kardashians 'do, as one wrote, “She’s paying tribute to Diana with the big hair. I’m here for it.”

This is not the first time a Kardashian family member has been accused of cultural appropriation. Kim has also been called out when she wore braids at the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards.
