Kailyn Lowry got a new puppy and fans were immediately furious, accusing the Teen Mom 2 of animal cruelty. The root is the problem came from the fact that in the photo she shared of herself holding her new pet, a Cane Corso, its ears were clearly cropped.

The tradition for cropping the ears of Cane Corsos came from an erroneous belief that it was a safer and healthier option for the dogs. However, that belief is not longer deemed accurate, and yet aesthetic appeal for the breed still encourages ear cropping. So fans who know about this archaic tradition were really upset to see Kail's dog.

One fan wrote on Instagram, "Look at those freshly chopped ears. That poor baby. But you like the look, right? Doesn’t matter that it hurt him, right?"

According to In Touch Weekly, Kailyn clapped back and responded to this comment by saying, "Do you have a son? Did you have him circumcised?"

To that, many jumped on Kailyn for this, saying the two procedures weren't the same thing at all. Other people flooded her comment section with laments that she didn't adopt and got a puppy from a breeder instead.

It seems like Kailyn's happy news was put down quickly, and she's clearly not getting the real problem here.
