Justin Bieber has gone through some rough patches--and isn't willing to put his mental health in jeopardy any longer.

After a slew of unfortunate incidents, involving a DUI in 2014, repeated drug abuse, and a later-revealed sex addiction, Justin has come a long way to get to the place he's at now. The singer is currently happily married to Hailey Baldwin, has taken up faith, and is on the road to full recovery. But that doesn't mean healing can happen overnight.

Earlier this month, the 25-year-old star took to Instagram to ask his fans to pray for him. "Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird," he opened up to his 106 million followers. And now, he's given us a detailed explanation on why he's taken a break from music. "So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album," he began his caption yesterday.

So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour. I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable.... the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. ? but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. (grammar and punctuation will be terrible pretend it’s a text where u just don’t care).

"I will come with a kick ass album ASAP," he was sure to confirm.

We 100% understand where Justin is coming from, no matter how desperate we are for new music. The singer's last album Purpose was released all the way back in 2015, but if he needs time away from the pressure of making an album to protect his mental health, we are so here for it.
