By Hannah Wigandt

It's been confirmed James Gunn will be helming the next Suicide Squad film, and ever since fans have been concerned with who will be reprising their roles. But there also will be some new additions to the upcoming DC film, reportedly including John Cena.
According to Variety, Cena is being eyed by Warner Bros and Gunn to play an unknown role in the upcoming movie.
So far the actors who will be signing on to reprise their characters will be Viola Davis, Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman, who play Amanda Waller, Captain Boomerang and Rick Flag, respectively. Idris Elba was also rumored to be replacing Will Smith's Deadshot, but now reports are saying that he will be playing a totally different character.
The film is also reported to introduce characters like Ratcatcher, King Shark, Polka-Dot Man and Peacemaker, so Cena could be playing one of these.
We've still got a long time to go, however, as The Suicide Squad is set to premiere on Aug. 6, 2021.
