The warmly received Jessica Jones is the last remaining Marvel Netflix series following the mass cancellations, and anticipation is beginning to build toward the series’ third and final season. The enthusiasm for the show was boosted today when the trailer for Season 3 finally made its premiere.

The series, which stars Krysten Ritter in the titular role, last saw Jessica Jones murdering her longtime adversary and tormentor, Killgrave (David Tennant) and earning a reputation as a murderer throughout New York City. The third season, according to ComingSoon.net, will see her reckoning with this new status while also delving into her own past.

In addition to Ritter, the series also features Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, and newcomers Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez. The series is created by showrunner (and Twilight and Dexter alumna) Melissa Rosenberg, as well as Raelle Tucker, Jim Chory, and Jeph Loeb.

This will mark the final season of the Peabody Award-winning series, which was cancelled earlier this year. This leaves it in a tie with Daredevil, the first of Marvel's Netflix series, in terms of length. Iron Fist and Luke Cage were both cancelled after just two seasons.

As for us, we’re going to be watching this trailer a few times to get hyped for the series when it premieres on June 14.
