To say that fans of the HBO hit Game of Thrones went crazy with fan theories for the final season would be a serious understatement. Between who would be the one to win the Iron Throne, to who else could possibly be secretly related, so many different ideas were being tossed around the internet, it was impossible to keep up. It looks like even the show's stars caught wind of the many theories...and some weren't happy about a few in particular.

On the Emmy Awards red carpet this past Sunday, actors Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark) and Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) chatted with INSIDER on all things Thrones, including the wacky fan theories they've read over the years. For Hempstead Wright, he took issue with that ever-popular Night King idea.

When asked what the worst theory he ever heard was, the 20-year-old actor stated, "That f**king Bran is the Night King." And when asked to explain, Cunningham jumped in to agree, adding, "It was ridiculous."

"I personally hated that one because people became convinced that I was the spitting image of an ancient ice zombie," Hempstead Wright shared. Understandable!

Cunningham had a few bad theories in mind as well, weighing in, "Oh and Varys being a mermaid." Yeah, that one had like, no weight.

This is hardly the first time Hempstead Wright has spoken out against the Bran Stark/Night King theory, as he even debunked it while the show was still going on. He explained to Vulture in 2017, "I think it's less that they're the same person and more that they're two of the ancient beings of Westeros."

Whether you loved or hated the ending of Game of Thrones, we know Hempstead Wright must've been relieved with the way things turned out for Bran.
