On Tuesday, Bridgerton fans were thrilled to learn a new theory that Regé-Jean Page might be returning to the popular series after he was photographed with season 2 lead Jonathan Bailey at Milan Fashion Week. The former Duke took to his social media to address the rumors.

Regé-Jean Page confirmed via Instagram that he will not be reprising his role as the Duke of Hastings in season 3 of Bridgerton.

"The papers made that one up," he wrote, alongside a photo ofhim and Jonathan Bailey at Milan Fashion Week. "But we had the best, and most stylish, catch up I’ve had in a while over some truly excellent Italian coffee and sunshine."
