Is Captain Marvel in 'Avengers: Endgame'?

The first sneak peek that Marvel fans got of Carol Danvers was during the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, when Nick Fury summoned her to Earth before disappearing into dust. The simple appearance of Captain Marvel’s logo clued fans into the fact that the hero will likely play a major role in defeating Thanos in Endgame, the last chapter for the Avengers.

While Captain Marvel is set in 1995, way before the events of the Avengers series, the origin film will finally explain Fury’s connection to Danvers. Thanks to a Russian version of the Captain Marvel trailer, we also know the movie will introduce the pager that Fury uses during Infinity War’s post-credits scene.

As well as explaining Danver’s connection to other Marvel characters, fans will also see how the Kree-Skrull war fits into the MCU’s narrative.

It’s definitely no coincidence that Captain Marvel’s release date, which is March 8, is set before Endgame’s premiere date on April 26. Though Danvers is nowhere to be seen in the Endgame trailer, she is considered the most powerful character in the MCU and will definitely play a role in the Avengers' final mission. Yes, she will appear in Endgame.

Another aspect that will have to be explained in either Captain Marvel or Endgame is where Danvers has been over the last two decades. Considering Fury will likely not around to brief the other heroes, she might have a lot of explaining to do.
