How This 'Game of Thrones' Season 1 Poster Might've Foreshadowed the Series Finale [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8.

Game of Thrones is one of the most detailed shows on television, following many character arcs, plot points, and a variety of different places. Despite it getting confusing from time to time, fans on the internet love to analyze every detail, especially with all the foreshadowing that can happen.

Fans have noticed that a poster from the first season may have foreshadowed Bran becoming the King of the Six Kingdoms. In the poster, Ned Stark, played by Sean Bean, is sitting on the Iron Throne, and there's a raven sitting atop it. Bran, of course, goes on to become the Three-Eyed Raven, so could this have been a way the writers hinted at the ending of the series?

Even if the writers totally weren't thinking that much into it when they decided to add the bird to the poster, it's still pretty cool in retrospect that the raven is perched on the throne, knowing what we know now. And fans have been loving the discovery online.

“Anyone else just notice the raven on Ned’s right from the season one poster???” one Twitter user said. “Raven + Ned Stark on the Iron Throne = Bran Stark. It was in front of us THE WHOLE TIME.” The poster has also includes the caption, “You win or you die," which could be pointing out the fact that Ned will die and Bran will live.

While likely no one caught before the finale of Thrones aired, Gwendoline Christie predicted Bran would be king two years ago in an interview, and another fan recently theorized it as well.
