Heres What Scarlett Johansson Says About Woody Allen

Scarlett Johansson sat down to talk with The Hollywood Reporter recently in an interview. One of the questions that came up, was how she felt about Woody Allen.
It is no secret at all that Woody Allen has contributed to the success of Scarlett Johansson, working with Johansson three times previously. Johansson has acted in three Allen movies, Match Point (2005), Scoop (2006) and Vicky Cristina and Barcelona (2008).
Allen has faced numerous sexual abuse allegations in the past, most notably from his daughter Dylan Farrow. Not to mention, Allen is currently married to his adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn. Allen has denied all allegations of sexual assault against him. But, Hollywood has certainly distanced themselves from Allen, with several actors that have worked with him in the past publicly expressing regret.
However, Johansson has been an exception in this trend. In response to the question, How do you feel about Woody Allen, Johansson replied, "I believe him, and I would work with him anytime."
Johansson is very active in women's issues, and even gave a passionate speech in support of planed parenthood at the Women's March in 2018, but she stands by her long time collaborator Allen.
She went on to say, "I see Woody whenever I can, and I have had a lot of conversations with him about it. I have been very direct with him, and he's very direct with me. He maintains his innocence, and I believe him. It's hard because it's a time where people are very fired up, and understandably. Things needed to be stirred up, and so people have a lot of passion and a lot of strong feelings and are angry, and rightfully so. It's an intense time."
Fans have expressed outrage on her stance on Allen and have posted their reactions on twitter.
