As Teen Mom fans know, Jenelle Evans' husband was arrested on multiple charges in June 2020, and now, he's headed to court. New details of the court case have emerged, thanks to The Ashley.

According to the publication, David appeared before the judge in Whiteville, North Carolina, at 9 a.m. EST on July 6. Although Jenelle was in attendance at the court, she was not allowed to "stand by her man" during his hearing, a source says.

David is facing one misdemeanor count of Communicating Threats and one misdemeanor count of Assault With a Deadly Weapon after he attacked Jenelle's friend James Spivey. Per The Sun, a warrant for his arrest claimed the controversial figure "unlawfully and willfully did threaten to physically injure" James, in addition to pistol-whipping him.

The Ashley can confirm that David did have an attorney present to represent him in court. They also reported his case was the first of the day, while James' case was heard later that same day. “It was very cut and dry today,” a court source claims, adding that, "they were both in and out.”

This isn't the end of the road for David's case, though. It will reportedly be dragged out until July 29, with both James and David appearing before the judge prior to that date. Until then, here's to hoping the former Teen Mom 2 dad stays out of legal trouble.
