Hawkeye Live-Action Series With Jeremy Renner Coming to Disney+

There has been a lot of speculation on what sort of shows will premiere on Disney's new upcoming streaming site, to say the least. But today, news of a Hawkeye live-action series which will reprise Jeremy Renner's role as the superhero has been added to the list of shows confirmed for Disney+.

According to Variety's sources, the limited series will deal with Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, passing on the superhero responsibilities to Kate Bishop, a character not yet introduced into the MCU, but part of the Young Avengers in the comic books. The series reportedly will be around six to eight episodes.

Renner is a Marvel veteran, who first starred as Hawkeye in 2011's Thor. The series on the archer is one of many planned to hit Disney+, joining reported shows about Falcon, Winter Soldier, Loki, Vision, and Scarlet Witch.

There has also been talk on whether the streaming service will reclaim Netflix's Marvel shows such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and The Punisher or not, however nothing has been confirmed yet.
